Program Goals

Our goal is to encourage each child to:
 - Feel a comfortable level of trust and acceptance with those in his/her community at school.

 - Learn to approach intellectual problems with confidence and creativity.

 - Develop grace and ease of movement through large and small muscle coordination.

 - Develop a sense of responsibility to the human family and the environment we share.

Parents play an essential part in the well being of any education program.

To serve the children and parents as completely as possible, we have set these further goals:

 - To offer wholesome, well-balanced food at school and to use the food as a vehicle to share nutritional information with the children and their families.

 - To extend an open invitation to the parents to observe the classroom and become involved in the learning process through parent meetings, field trips, school celebrations, volunteer opportunities, etc.

 - To invite parents to use the school as a center to meet other parents of pre-schoolers and discuss parenting skills with each other and/or the staff.

 - To work for child advocacy and educational outreach, thereby working to improve the overall quality of life in our community.
